Privacy Policy

Effective date: 26 June 2026 · Last updated: 26 June 2026

Plain-language summary: famielle holds your family's most sensitive information, so we keep the rules simple. We collect what we need to run the service, we encrypt it, and we never sell it, show you ads, or use your content to train AI. You can export or delete everything at any time.

This Privacy Policy explains how famielle (“we”, “us”, “our”), operated by Farzin Habibpour, an independent developer based in Paraguay, collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the famielle mobile app and related services (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to this Policy.

1. Who the Service is for

famielle is a tool for parents and caregivers to organize family logistics. It is intended for adults (18+). Children are not users of famielle — there are no child accounts and children cannot sign in. Information about a child only exists in famielle because a parent or caregiver chose to add it (for example, a school email that mentions a child's name or schedule). We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Account & household details — your name, email address, household name, time zone, and the roles of the people you invite.
  • Content you add — the emails you forward, photos and PDFs you upload, text you paste, and the tasks, events, and notes that come from them. This is the core of the Service.
  • Feedback — anything you write when you report a problem or share an idea.

Information collected automatically

  • Internal identifiers — non-advertising IDs we use to keep your household's data separate and secure.
  • Diagnostics — crash and error events to keep the app working. These are content-free (they never contain your family's information) and are off unless enabled.
  • Product analytics — coarse, content-free usage events (for example, “a task was created”) to understand how the app is used. These never contain names, message contents, or photos, are off by default, and product-improvement use is opt-in.

Optional connections

  • Calendar (read-only) — if you connect a calendar, famielle reads your events so it can spot scheduling conflicts. famielle is strictly read-only — it never creates, edits, or deletes anything on your calendar. The access credential is encrypted and is deleted when you disconnect.
  • Email forwarding — if you forward email to your private famielle address, we receive and process those messages to turn them into tasks and events.

3. How we use your information

  • To provide the Service — reading the content you add, drafting tasks and events for your approval, sending reminders, and sharing within your household.
  • To secure the Service and keep each household's data isolated.
  • To support you and respond to your feedback.
  • With your opt-in consent, to improve our suggestions. This is off by default and you can turn it off at any time.

What we never do: we never sell your information, we never use it for advertising or to track you across other apps and websites, and we never use your family's content to train AI models.

4. AI processing

To turn your content into structured tasks and dates, the relevant text or image is sent to our AI provider as data to be read, never as instructions, and is not used to train any model. We send the minimum needed for the feature and retain AI processing records that contain no raw family content.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers (“sub-processors”) that help us run famielle, under contracts that limit them to that purpose:

  • AI processing — to extract tasks and dates from your content (no training; short retention).
  • Cloud hosting & storage — to run the Service and store your content securely, encrypted at rest.
  • Email delivery & inbound processing — to receive forwarded email and send you notifications.
  • Calendar provider — only if you connect one, and only to read your events.
  • Diagnostics & analytics — content-free only, and off unless enabled.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.

6. How we protect your information

  • Encryption in transit and at rest.
  • Strict per-household isolation — one family can never see another's data.
  • Sensitive credentials (like a connected calendar token) are encrypted and never logged.
  • We log identifiers, not the contents of your family's information.

7. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete an item, or your whole household, we remove the underlying content and stored files. We retain only a minimal, content-free record needed for security and legal obligations. Forwarded email from unknown senders that you don't accept is automatically discarded.

8. Your rights and choices

  • Access & export — export your data from within the app at any time.
  • Deletion — delete individual items, or your entire household, from within the app. Household deletion permanently purges your content.
  • Consent controls — every optional data use (such as product improvement) is off by default and can be turned on or off at any time.
  • Access requests — depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. Contact us and we'll help.

9. International users

famielle is operated from Paraguay and your information may be processed in Paraguay and other countries where our service providers operate. We take steps to protect your information consistent with this Policy wherever it is processed.

10. Children's privacy

The Service is for adults. We do not knowingly allow children to create accounts or knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If you believe a child has provided us information directly, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app or by email and update the “Last updated” date above.
